Non-Surgical Procedures

Advanced Dental Cleaning

  • Prophylaxis Cleaning – Which is also called as “Routine Dental Cleaning” it is usually done on patients who want to maintain health gums. Where the hardened plaque (Calculus) is removed and the stains found on the surface of the tooth are cleaned. Prophylaxis cleaning is recommended once in six months to ensure healthy gums, avoid build-up of plaque leading to bad breath and prevent any cavities.
  • Scaling and Root Planing – It is also called as “Deep Cleaning” this type of dental cleaning is done to patients who are one step away from getting a gum disease or already developed bleeding, swollen gums and other gum diseases. This procedure calls for a deeper cleaning which involves in removal of excess hardened Tartar or stubborn Calculus which do not come off easily under Prophylaxis Cleaning. If left unnoticed it could develop into various gum diseases.
  • Gross Debridement – A more advanced dental cleaning procedure which is performed by our inhouse experienced dentist who not only cleans but to also ascertain if any teeth issues are present which were not noticed before any dental cleaning. Usually, teeth issue become more visible after a cleaning procedure is done. This is usually done for patients who have not visited a dentist for over a year and in cases where there has been excess build-up of Caliculus and hardened tartar on the surface of the damaged teeth and the gums. This procedure will involve a more precise and carefully deep cleaning ensuring we further do not damage the tooth.

Surgical Procedures

Flap Surgery / Pocket reduction surgery

This surgical procedure requires the gums be lifted and all the bacteria causing tartar are removed. The gums are then placed back so that the tissue fits perfectly between the tooth which eliminates the bacteria from growing between the gaps. In some cases, uneven surfaces on the bone can be polished so that we can prevent further bacterial growth. Consult with our members of doctors to know more!

Guided Tissue Regeneration

This procedure is done only when the bone holding your tooth together is infected and destroyed. This is usually done along with the flap surgery where a mesh like fabric is placed between the bone and gum tissue after the gum is lifted. It helps to regrow the bone and the gums which is damaged by the infection. As a result, it strengthens the bone to hold the tooth firmly.

Soft Tissue Grafts

A procedure which involves soft tissue to be taken from the roof of the mouth and placed where the gum tissue is thin and reduced usually at the base of the tooth where the roots of the tooth is exposed.

Bone Surgery

As we age and the infections damages the bone, we smoothen shallow pockets in the bone following the flap surgery which occurs due to advanced bone loss which makes it difficult for the bacteria to regrow in the shallow pockets we smoothen.

Bone Grafts

This procedure restores the attachment of the teeth to the bone. This is done when the gum disease has completely destroyed your bone holding the tooth firmly. For this procedure fragments of your own bone or synthetic bone called as “Bone Grafts” to be placed at the area where the infection has destroyed the bone holding your tooth. It results in attaching itself and regrowing strengthening the attachment of the tooth to the bone. This procedure is sometimes called as “Tissue Engineering” including PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and stem cells which triggers your body to regrow bone and tissue at a faster rate.

All the above procedure may sound alarming, but you need not worry, our team of doctors come with vast experiences to handle the most complex procedures without a sweat!
